{"id":55,"date":"2016-01-23T02:56:27","date_gmt":"2016-01-23T02:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/indonesia-handicraft.com\/news\/?p=52"},"modified":"2016-01-23T02:56:27","modified_gmt":"2016-01-23T02:56:27","slug":"yemeni-dance-stuns-cairo-crowds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/indonesia-handicraft.com\/news\/yemeni-dance-stuns-cairo-crowds\/","title":{"rendered":"Yemeni Dance Stuns Cairo Crowds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yemeni Dance Stuns Cairo Crowds<br \/>\n By Observer Staff<br \/>\nJan 21, 2016<\/p>\n<p>SANA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122A \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Traditional Yemeni Bara dancers drew large crowds in Cairo at the Second National Cultures Festival, held in the shadow of the pyramids in the Egyptian capital last week.<br \/>\nLarge numbers of Arab and foreign tourists gathered near a model of the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh King Tutankhamen to watch the Yemeni dance.<\/p>\n<p>The dance, at the Village of the Pharaoh in Cairo, was one of the favourites of those who had gathered to watch the folk dance displays.<br \/>\nAlong with Yemen and the host Egypt, the countries who took part in the festival included Iran, Romania, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan and Mali.<br \/>\nCrowds of tourist crowds gathered for the full five days of the festival, enjoying the dramatic shows and exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>The Yemeni section included special miniature models of Yemen\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s unique architecture, as well as paintings and photographs showing the most famous tourist sites and landmarks in Yemen.<br \/>\nYemen\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s section, the biggest in the festival, also exhibited examples of handicraft work, silver jewelry, traditional costumes, and Yemeni local products.<\/p>\n<p>Example of books, literature and newspapers displaying the opportunities and potential of Yemen for tourists were also exhibited, with some handed out as gifts to visitors.<br \/>\nThe Yemen Media Center exhibited a book called Al-Lahdah Documentation Book, which includes rage documentary photographs of the early days of the Yemeni revolution.
