Mangkang festival

Imphal, April 22: The fourth session and seventh general conference of the Mangkang (Women) festival was held today at Maram Khullen.

Exhibition of indigenous handicraft and food items and presentation of traditional dances by the local girls were the main highlights of the festival

The festival was graced by MLA N Awangbow as chief guest and MLA K Raina as chief guest.

The festival celebrated under the theme “Our Culture, Our identity” was organised by the Maram Khullen Circle Women’s Association.

The festival concluded with a beauty pageant.
