The Vietnam Craft Village Festival 2009 will be opened on June 10th and closed on June 14th, in Thuong Bac park, Hue city, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The festival will contain various activities such as exhibitions of products from Vietnamese craft villages, seminars on the development of craft villages, showcasing of traditional handicrafts, displays of photos of Vietnamese ancient and current craft villages, costumes of ethnic minorities and many folk arts.
This is seen as a good opportunity for the nationwide craft villages to show their unique products to the public and to seek investment and trade cooperation with domestic and international partners.
On the other hand, it helps preserve and develop national traditional cultural identities as well as boosting craftwork in Vietnamese villages.
