Shri Vaghela inaugurates National Handicraft Design Gallery

The Government has given special emphasis on creating and strengthening infrastructure for the handicraft sector in the 11th Five Year Plan Schemes and has taken a number of initiatives recently for the artisans. Inaugurating the National Handicraft Design Gallery and releasing the Book “Handmade In India– An Encyclopedia of Handicrafts here today, the Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Shankersinh Vaghela said that our artisans can now have access to newer technologies and processes, markets, IT Tools and Institutions in order to improve their productivity as well as lead a better quality of life.
