The Lakeview Handicraft Club of Sun City submitted this call for new members.

The Lakeview Handicraft Club of Sun City invites you to join us and take part in our activities. If you like to create crochet articles, knitted baby clothes, handmade greeting cards, beaded Christmas ornaments or other crafts, we are sure you would find our club a pleasant place to spend a morning.

We also put aside our handiwork occasionally and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and cookies or a game of bingo. Monthly birthdays are celebrated and picnics or potlucks often signify special occasions.

Many of our handmade afghans and baby hats are donated to hospital birthing units, and assorted donated articles find their way to homeless shelters or crisis centers. Our club also joins the other recreation centers for the twice yearly craft shows and sales, where members can sell their handmade articles. We are located on the second floor of the Lakeview Recreation Center, 10626 W. Thunderbird Ave., Sun City, and meet each Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon.

So gather up your yarn, needles, beads and plastic canvas, and head on over for a morning of crafting and friendly fellowship. Please bring your Recreation Centers of Sun City card. We hope to see you soon.
