Handloom and handicraft exhibition begins at Panaji

Panaji, Sept 17 Creative Eye Society is currently organising a mega handloom and handicraft exhibition, at Kala Academy, Panaji. ‘Sahayog Arts and Crafts Utsav 07’ consists of more than hundred stalls by manufacturers from different parts of the country, which include exclusive range of interior and exterior items for decorations, wooden furniture, wide range of paintings, variety of garments crockery, life style products, kitchen appliances, health and beauty care products, toys, jewellery, watches, handloom and handicraft, terracotta and many more.

It is for the first time that the award winning craftsmen are presenting their art in Goa, marble temple from Uttar Pradesh, chickan work bed sheets, wrought iron work, metal craft, Kashmiri shawls and dress materials, colourful kurtas from Delhi, jute from Bengal, embroidered bed sheets, Kolhapuri chappals, Karnatak silk saris, cane furniture from Assam, Shantiniketan leather among others.

The exhibition will conclude on September 26.

Earlier, Panaji MLA, Mr Manohar Parrikar inaugurated the exhibition on September 16.
