A major cultural organization in Iran has planned an international exhibition to display handicrafts produced by Muslim women.
The Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (CHHTO) in Zanjan Province reports their event aims to provide an opportunity for women to further advance their social standing and introduce their skills to the community
“The exhibition, which includes specialty forums and Ta’ziyeh (Persian passion plays), is entirely administered by women,” said Mas’ud Ahmadi-nia, deputy of CHHTO at Zanjan Province.
Ahmadi-nia told Cultural Heritage News Agency a large number of Muslim countries participated in this year’s event.
The exhibition opened on Wednesday and will run through February 25th at Zanjan’s Caspian Site for International Fairs.
