Vietnamese businesses join handicraft exhibition in Algeria

Algiers (VNA) – Eleven Vietnamese businesses have joined 304 Algerian enterprises and 83 others from Africa, Asia and the Middle East in the 13th International Fine Arts and Handicrafts Exhibition, which opened in Algiers, Algeria, on Mar. 28.
Viet Nam’s traditional handicrafts, including lacquer works, products made of rattan-bamboo-wood, porcelains, ceramics and silks have attracted much attention from foreign visitors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mustapha Benbada, Algerian Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Chairman of the Algeria-Viet Nam Joint Committee, highlighted the importance placed by the Algerian Government on the local handicrafts industry.

The Algerian Government has allocated 5 billion Dinars to develop the handicrafts industry, he said.-Enditem
